Happy 82nd birthday, Carl. Almost-sorta-kinda glad you are not here to witness our demise.

I've been invited to see the boys in Manchester, UK on the 29th. Moving Heaven and Earth to try to expedite a passport. It all hinges on, a) the processing time on Paypal (have to have proof of travel within two weeks *in hand* for first-time passport), b) the processing time for the passport, itself.

If it's meant to be, it will happen.

Fuck work, I'll just put in my notice.

And srsly, fuck what happened last night. I may decide to stay.

We can form a CureColony - who's with me?

The Perfect Storm.

Night before Frankie's birthday.

Pete on phone, in full insanity-regalia, screaming at me about how, "Frankie never got me backstage passes for the Cure because they never played, 'Let's Go to Bed' (?) and that was Frankie's favorite song of theirs'-and-wtf-blah-blah-blah-what-the-hell-are-you-talking-about-and-why-does-this-make-you-so-damned-angry-at-me, until he made me cry. All he wants to do is fight and pick at me, anymore, and today was *not* the day I wanted to deal with that.

Into - whammo! My daughter showing up with a belated and lovely gift for Mother's Day, while I blubber like a crazy person in my robe in the kitchen.

Rush into the shower and off to do laundry while some Stephen King Look-A-Like made small talk to me about the weather.

Arrive home to catch the last dregs of the Dallas show - and what song do they do in the second encore?

Let's Go To Bed, of course. I know. *makes twirly motions with finger at temple*

My son has friends over, and was kind enough to let me use his lappy. Nice guys - and I like hearing their laughter from the patio.

I'm baking some more spaghetti squash for the week, and just brewed a fresh pot of coffee, for my online wanderings - not sure how much time I'll have, so I got to make the most of it.

The Good: I'll get a lot more done, around here, with no pc. Annnnnd a lot more sleep. I still may be able to get drivers for this thang, so trying to think positive. For the same price, I may just get them to sell/put in a whole new OS - gonna call some ppl, tomorrow. All is not lost!

The Bad: My son ponied up and bought a new tower from ebay - - slow as balls, but not complaining - BUT - he linked it to the wrong account, and it BOUNCED. SO, I will pay back the bounce fee, as well. Dammit. Poor kid, trying to be nice!

The Ugly: My disk for the first season of, Dexter works, but only the sound. AND THE SOUNDS. OH, MAN. Yuck.

Fuck my life.

After my mother and son basically did a fucking intervention to make me call off work, pretty much insuring that I'll be fired?

A pipe valve - once connected to a long-gone washing machine - that was allegedly SHUT OFF EXPLODED in the hallway. Water is gushing into a huge tupperware container, as we speak.

I don't know what this thing is, or what to do. I certainly don't have money for a plumber or to put in new flooring or God only knows what. My socks are wet, and I have no heat, and I just feel like crying.

I hate my life and honestly, I'm done. It's too hard and there's just no joy in anything, anymore. And yeah, I'm just bitching, you know I won't do anything.
