Dec. 13th, 2009 02:21 pmRaining like a mofo, here - and it's supposed to turn into, 'a wintry mix', later. Yay. *fear* Good day for sleeping, but I just awoke from a totally REAL vision-at-the-edge-of-dreaming -
- where I was walking up a black asphalt highway. The sun was hot and it was shining blindingly off the asphalt. At first, it seemed like I was out in the west, somewhere. I looked up and could not see the end of the road or the horizon, it was so far away, but it seemed like I was walking uphill. I then noticed that, on the right side of the road, water was approaching. Starting to run down the right side of the road, only, along the edge, but getting deeper and more forceful, washing all the dust and rocks and dirt away from the side of the road and the asphalt. Washing, cleaning. I remember thinking that this was not a good thing - and as the water rose, it spread and came closer and closer to touching my feet and still, I had to keep walking. I was almost in a panic, worried that I would be 'losing' something.
Abrupt scene change. Than, I'm walking across what seemed to be a red desert. The sand was reddish-orange, and there were reddish-orange rocks of all sizes, scattered everywhere. I had on this beige robe outfit and when I looked down at my feet (which were dirty), I had on sandals. I could see the end of my walking stick as it poked into the sand. Away in the distance, there was a group of tents that I was heading towards with much relief. They blurred in and out, as they were the same colour as the sand and surrounding mesas and buttes, etc., but I could see them, and that's where I was heading, and there was someone there that I knew would be surprised and pleased to see me after my long trip.
Bzuh. Must have been looking at too many pictures of the surface of Mars, heh - ANDDDDD, I just watched Ken Russell's, Valentino with Rudolph Nureyev - but it occurs to me now, that the Martian landscape could possibly look a lot like my personal idea of Vulcan. :) It just seemed so REAL, like I was awake. Damn.
