Sometimes, I forget that the world is not comprised of Bambi-eyed dumbasses trusting people, like me. *facepalm*

You guys are the best, btw. I sincerely was NOT 'fishing', but am more at home with my paperlessness, now. FOR NOW.

Trying to think of a good dish to take to Bev - if she'll let Linda and I come over tomorrow to visit her. She has issues with where she lives, I think; which I can certainly understand, but, man. It's ME. She's seen MY place - AKA, 'The Land Where The Dustbunnies Roam Free' - and trust me. Ya'll can ask [livejournal.com profile] gayalithiel - she's SEEN IT. TWICE. AND LIVED TO TELL THE TALE. I was thinking a nice pot of chili, but if the chemo is making her nauseous? Maybe not a good idea..Hmm. I get so tailwaggingly enthusiastic (*BOUNCE, BOUNCE, BOUNCE*) sometimes, it puts people off. I just want to help but LAY LOW, BACK OFF, right?

Work's gonna be tough, tonight. One aide on a wing of 36, again. I'm glad to be off C Wing - for a night, anyway - and to see a lot of my old friends on B Wing. We have some lovely, lovely people - all with good stories to tell. Some of them have been SO happy to see me, it's like a homecoming...The ones that are left, that is - and they remember EVERYTHING. Miss Janet actually asked me if I'd written my book, yet. ♥

Your house was absolutely clean and comfy both times I visited. I have lived in seen a whole lot worse. And your bed is very comfy too *nods sagely*

Well, I'm workin' on it. I got a chance to corner the DON where I work and speak to her about maybe slowly starting to re-arrange my schedule. a) so I can do, 'Circle of Friends' in the late afternoon (an activities program with our most demented residents - which are my loves), b) may-beee have the option to see about some morning classes - even getting a Gen Ed or two out of the way would be a start...SO. The problem is that they may not be able to spare me, at this time - as I am the ONLY fulltime third shift employee who's on a ten-day pay schedule....and they really can't afford to lose me, right now............So. We shall see. :)

Well, that sounds like a plan, at least! Hopefully they'll be able to spare you enough for a class or two. Good luck to you!! :D

No, you're the best. I'm glad you are feeling a bit more settled.

I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. Chemo sucks. J was really into soup when he wasn't feeling well. But I guess everyone's different. I pray things go well with her.

Thanks! I will check it out - As I was told - just sort of 'bland' comforting foods are the way to go. Now, it's just finding the TIME..:)
