Reposting something reposted on a pg comm:

Musician Peter Gabriel, 58, and his wife Meabh, 37, have welcomed their second son together. Luc Gabriel arrived on Saturday, July 5th, weighing in at 7 lbs, 2 oz. Luc joins older brother Isaac, 6, and sisters Melanie, 31, and Anna-Marie, 34, from Peter's marriage to Jill Moore. In a statement on his website, Peter shared,

Big brother Isaac reports that mother, father and baby brother are all doing well, and requests that any congratulatory flowers people may contemplate sending be left to grow in the ground for all to enjoy.

Oh, MANY congratulations to them. Lovely. Just lovely.

*~*~*

Took DJ to see fireworks in Da'Ville with P - amazing; I *love* fireworks - then stopped by D's after (he has a charming little house with lots of personality and hand-done details) and hung out and D cut DJ's hair. Took him ten minutes, and it looks great :)

Breath of fresh air did me good, too, as did the stack of Colbert Reports P had dvd'd for me. We finally saw The Birthday Cupcake ™ (*snicker*) and had a squee together while DJ rolled his eyes.

D knows how to work a jigsaw, and actually possesses one and I am NOT going to let up on THAT, y'know. I want to learn to use one for 'artistic purposes', and he would be a kind and patient teacher. Total good egg, that one; with two lovely cats that are oh, so friendly and knows of Genesis pg vs The Phil Version ( = automatic dealmaker), and also is a RUSH-head (In the way that I am a Cure-head), heh; so go figure.

And then - yum, yum - there's always this:

CONGRATS, MY DARLING PETER!!! Luc Gabriel, what a BEAUTIFUL name (and why did I think his wife was 31, not 37? Oh well) I'm sure Luc's going to be a heartbreaker . . .

I *love* fireworks

ME TOO. When we were driving back home from my mom's on July 5th, we saw them lit up all along the interstate, it was AMAZING. Like art in the sky . . . also, I've heard you can get the good, BIG ones in PA! People here will sneak them back from there.

Isn't that just the shit? I am so happy for them.

Yay, fireworks - Like magic :)

And the good ones are illegal here, but people always seem to find them somewhere/how...if you know ppl that are getting them? Find out WHERE!

OMG, though . . . I thought PA had this thing where people from other states could come in and buy your fireworks, but residents couldn't have any!! I remember driving into NJ once and there were state troopers at a fireworks stand on the state line making sure NONE OF THESE FIREWORKS RETURN TO THE STATE WHERE YA GOT 'EM, like the most fucking Nazi joykill stupid law EVA. I didn't know how easy it was to circumvent those sorts of laws . . .

I know that hardcore folks will go to SC/TN, where you can get rip-your-face-off stadium quality fireworks legally . . . now THAT would be FUN!!!
