Wow. Fell asleep with the headphones on, and, what dreams..
A couple of YOU were in them, too, not saying who..but it's not who you'd expect.
a) At some sort of outdoor community concert in a city park, unpacking picnic baskets with ________ and sort of avoiding looking at theirs because I knew that the contents of MINE weren't all exotic and hoity-toity and gourmet, just normal down-to-earth commonplace picnic fare - and not wanting to get pulled into yet another conversation about it and being embarrassed, when I'd worked so hard and could not afford the same stuffs as them..My deviled eggs were lookin' pretty rinky-dink, though, let me tellya..:(
b) Walking across this huge frozen reservoir with _________ and thinking we'd best hurry, as the ice was lookin' pretty thin and I could see bubbles rising up under the surface - and trying to tell them to lower their voice (Pot calling Kettle, Black, there, if EVER there was) because I feared it would crack the ice..then, ending up at a national park on the other side and being mortally embarrassed as they accidentally insulted a gathering of Algonquin tribesman, there. You were angry and wanted to move out of the small, socially-backwards and confining town we lived it, but Oh...bad choice of words and timing.
Oh, and there was also the dream about walking barefoot through this cold, squishy mud and knowing there were all sorts of weird worms and God knows WHAT in it, but having to walk through it, anyway. Smiling..trying not to let on that I knew..
...so what does THAT tellya about the dreamer?
Not much. Weird and unsavory that I obviously projected lame and/or embarrassing things onto two very nice people that I've never even met and barely talk to.......wtf.

Date: 2008-02-24 10:19 am (UTC)I've had some weird dreams the last few nights but I don't remember them well enough to describe them. I know that either House or Hugh Laurie was in one of them, but I don't even remember it well enough to say if he was himself or in character. I vaguely remember a cafeteria and the backyard of the house I grew up in... but that's all. I hate forgetting interesting dreams. :-/
