correctiveshoes621Ah. So. The great Getting Over Myself 101 has begun, whether I want it to, or not. I was trying to cultivate this Attitude of Gratitude thing - yes, it sounds like a self-help book or something, but, hey, whatever works - when a whole NEW raft of shit was sprung on me, in the form of a question in the middle of an argument about religion and the UU Church, of all things:
'So why ELSE would you want to get rid of me for two whole days?'
The only answer I could give was, 'So what if I was?'
Um. Shit. Instant hypocrisy, just add children.
Add to that, the Great Conversation about My Thumb Ring, last night - a resident actually asked if I 'drove a motorcycle' because I had a thumb ring, and then, if I was 'a lesbian', because of it - And well, shit.
WTF is going on, here?

Absolutely horrified over my behavior over the past two weeks. With good reason, apparently.
Sometimes, I genuinely doubt my own sanity. Har, Har - I know, I know - 'Only SOMETIMES?'
