Still not caught up. Will probably never BE caught up. Oy.
The Good: My Carl necklace came! It's both fabulous and hilarious..annnnnd The Sad: NO ONE AT WORK KNEW WHO IT WAS. NO ONE. BERNARD WOULD HAVE KNOWN! I'd wager that if I had a, 'Snooki' or, 'Kim Kardashian' necklace, they would have known. My heart breaks.
The Amazing: CAN'T STOP WATCHING, 'DOCTOR WHO'..Even though I've gone, now, past the wondrous David Tennant..
The Bad: In a bizarre chain of events that could probably only happen to me, my iPod fell DOWN between my cleavage as I was getting in my car and, since it was swinging, freely, I unknowingly shut the door on it. That's right. I know. The poor little thing that's been my lifeline, for so long...It's now bent at approximately a twenty-five degree angle in the middle - BUT STILL PLAYS. I have no screen, or way to choose songs, BUT IT STILL PLAYS. So far, anyway. So I guess it's 'permanent random', from here on out, until I can get another. :( BUT IT STILL PLAYS.
Here. Have some of Carl Sagan's surprisingly adorable and hilarious laughter at 00:26-ish. ♥:

Date: 2014-02-09 03:47 pm (UTC)Stupid pop culture. I have no idea what Snooki or Kim Kardashian look like. And I intend to keep it that way.
Did you not just love Donna Noble? And the last few 'specials' with DT broke my heart. Matt Smith brings a very wonderful element to the Doctor but honestly Season 6 made me want to kill producer Stephen Moffat. I never even finished Season 7. :( I'll be interested in hearing what you think, if you make it that far. At the very least do watch my two favourite 'Eleven' episodes - both from Season 5: "The Lodger" (you will laugh your pants off) and "Vincent and the Doctor" (about Vincent can Gogh - cry EVERY time I see that one!).
If you are missing Mr. Tennant I highly recommend the miniseries 'Broadchurch'.
IPod, noooooooooo! Oh how terrible! I'd die if I lost mine. I hope yours keeps playing for a long time.

Date: 2014-02-10 01:18 am (UTC)My co-worker is an Encyclopedia D'Who, and she MADE me get into it - I told her about your Carl Sagan comment, and she LOL'd - - I'd seriously had no idea, and the only Doctor I knew or remembered was Tom Baker, from my childhood..when my brother and I would sneak and stay up to watch die Verboten, Monty Python...which it immediately followed..and, Red Dwarf, which we were ALSO not impressed by...O, the PBS of Old. She very wisely made me watch, Blink FIRST, and THEN start with Season 01 of the 2005 series. Blink, hooked me.
I'm just beginning Season 5, and Matt Smith is okay, but a bit too...IDK...Slapstick-Frankenstein-y? He'll grow on me, I hope. It's not HIS fault he's not DT..You got me scared for Seasons 6/7, now..And yeah, Katelyn said that, too, about this Stephen Moffat..
Thank you for the, Broadchurch rec. Will investigate....after I free up some room on this drive ;)

Date: 2014-02-10 02:58 pm (UTC)Aren't you glad? :) What a smart idea to start with Blink. Seriously good episode!
I had the same thoughts after the first couple of episodes with Eleven: "He's too silly!" But he grew on me - and his ability to look old - I mean Doctor Who 900+ years old - still amazes me.
And yeah, Katelyn said that, too, about this Stephen Moffat.
I like your co-worker. :)
The only reason Moffat is even slightly redeemed in my eyes is that he helped created Sherlock.. lol.
