I hate my freakin' pc right now.

The gift that just keeeeeeps on giving.

This shit won't go away..it just keeps getting worse. NOW, it has installed an application that makes my fuckin' drive pop open. And there is this weird (apparently undetectable by AdAware and PandaActiveScan) NEW thing (nicely illustrating what it is doing to my drive, mind you, OH, so helpful, you fuckin' bastards) on my desktop..and the things that were gone..are BACK. The last time I tried to run AdAware...it took the screen over, and put up some damn explorer page, which I couldn't even see, 'cos like, I WASN'T EVEN ONLINE AT THE TIME.

Seriously.

Bastards.

ETA: OMG, this must be what that horrible nightmare meant. The one where I saw that there had been a murder...and they indentified the body (after finding limbs in trash bags), by the HEAD that was found in a bag separate from the rest..

...it was Sean.

ok, the nightmare? yipes! Was Sean the murderer or the one with the severed head? O.O

Let me encourage you again to get that Spybot Search & Destroy. That's what the IT folks at Ohio State asked me to use on my desktop PC there.

You know? I *did* see that, but there are so many to choose from..I had forgotten that you had recommended it. I will probably have to wait 'til this upcoming weekend to do it, though..as school is takin' ALL my time. Thanks.

Oh, and the head was Sean's..made me sick. The reason it struck me so (besides the obvious) is that..well...it seems that after the Oscars, etc..everything around my corner of 'fandom' is falling apart. Folks are depressed, and separating. Parts of a whole, you know..

Yeah, I hear you. It is bizarre. I never saw anything like that when the Brendan fandom was at its peak right after The Mummy. I'm not saying that everyone always got along or that we didn't have our little flame wars, but still... nothing like I've seen around Sean.

It's so strange. He doesn't deserve to be at the center of such a hurricane.

Hmmm... I feel a newly-coined term coming on... fandom rage?

Yes, it's unreal. No wonder people call Seanfans, 'SeanTrolls'...not ALL of us..just SOME. It is like, this prevalent belief that if you are into Sean...you are some kind of sad, needy, disturbed lunatic..People get this sort of condescending attitude towards you..like 'Awww..look at the little SeanTroll'..I try to stay away from 'fandom' as a whole..the whole concept kinda squicks me.

But, I meant, really, the separation of a whole in relation to my small group of friends. My mind just used Sean in a symbolic way, I guess.

*sigh*

I guess I'm still learning what fandom is. The internet certainly has changed things. Used to be, if you liked someone's work and what they looked like, you got a big poster & stuck it on your wall. Now you collect .gifs and .jpgs and screencaps and DVDs and join forums and communities and... it's just endless how much there is to do to feed the obsession, and it's easy and pretty darn cheap.

I hadn't heard SeanTrolls yet, though... weird.

I just kind of latched on to him because my husband looks a little like him, so... in the end it's actually a little beneficial for me to have a crush on Sean... keeps my sex life 'lubricated'. ;-)

But... *cough*... a little TMI... *cough*

*eyes bug out...coffee sputters*

Wow. Lucky you.

Mine used to look like Luke Skywalker. Emphasis on *used to*, hehehhee -- now is sortakinda a heavier Kevin Bacon with glasses..with a goatee...Still trying to work out how I ended up with The King of the Yuppies.

lol...

Well, Rick's not a dead-ringer for Sean by any means, but if you put Sean next to Brendan and say, "Okay, which one of these two does Rick look like?" you'd have to go with Sean. ;-)

Rick is one of the most wonderful people on the planet (most of the time... he does have his childish moments, but I try not to remember them!), but I honestly was never physically attracted to him until I noticed this little bit of a resemblance. It was like I had to look through "Sean-colored glasses" in order to see him as physically attractive. I don't know why, but it works!

And slash doesn't hurt none, either... ;-) Not 'cause of the resemblance necessarily... (ok, TMI again) but pretending one is Frodo... *cough*

whoo!
