It's in times like these that I cling to the orderly, otherworldly precision of Kraftwerk. They Sort Me Out.
*~*~*
So. It is what it is.
It's a Baker's Cyst - whoot! - on my left knee.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker%27s_cyst
And I say, 'Whoot!', because the doctor that I saw in the morning (after DJ and I had both worked all night) seemed confident that it was a blood clot - which terrified me. Ran all over creation, yesterday, to get an ultrasound done, which was really interesting to see - and was glad to see the lively colours of my circulation, circulating - and NO GeeDee clot. Thank you, God.
They kept me waiting so long, making me scared-er and scared-er, as moments passed - so long that I had time to listen to, Solsbury Hill, about ten times, LOL. It's my Go-To. Still. Also had a bad moment when checking in at the hospital for the ultrasound and my 'Emergency Contact' came up on the computer as my late husband. Totally out of the blue, and showing how glaringly long it's been since I've been to see any doctor..Got home, all finished up, around five, and CRASHED. Got up for a little bit, then, CRASHED, AGAIN.
So, long story, less long - work is being really good about it, since I made plain that I knew that I had no workman's comp case (I was on break, and doing something I really shouldn't have been doing, PLUS, a Baker's Cyst is something you just have, not caused by work - it may be arthritis-caused, but DUH, I've known I've had that, for some time) - - but they want me to see an osteo before returning, and I agree. So, off I go, tomorrow afternoon, and we'll go from there. At most, they'll have to take fluid out of the thing, and I get a nifty-looking knee brace.
I mean, how freakin' android is THIS thing?
If I could, I'd wear one on each limb. :)
