Menopause/Insanity/PMS/WhatTheFuck can be a right bitch. One minute, I want to get on here and just rant about Whatever Is Going On, Now - and the next? Meh. Too much bother - to say Nothing Of Worth Or Interest, Really. So, consider yourselves spared.
pg's, Digging In The Dirt, with the New Blood Orchestra can come out of nowhere and - Whammo! - like Solsbury Hill, in ANY form - reduce me to verklemptitude of fetal-position proportions. WTF.
Struggle, by William Shatner is pretty damned good. Huh.
Weird Thing: Thanksgiving is going to be weird, this year. Everyone's pissy because we all work and/or can't make the three hour drive to (and from) my eldest sister's place - she's insisting on having everything there, and my mother just lets her have her way, because it's easier. No one can make it! Six hours on the road? Really? And then, having to go to work? My daughter, DJ and I have decided to try a new Ethiopian restaurant near her place, instead; hope it's open. New tradition, I guess.
Wow - Nice Thing: My son's friend got this amazing deal where she ended up with five turkeys and fifty pounds of potatoes - so, she gave us a turkey and a bag of potatoes! That was nice - any suggestions on a Thank You? I may make the turkey this upcoming weekend, to try to smooth things over with Mom, a bit. Lame, I know, but - gah. Teh GUILT.
Big Bang Theory continues to amuse. Getting onto Season 4, soon.

Date: 2011-11-22 03:50 am (UTC)Why can't people be thankful they have others in their lives without making those people miserable and doing guilt trips. If I thought I could get away with taking myself and maybe a friend out to dinner this Thursday I swear I would do it but...its a no can do for me. I don't have your excellent excuses. Nope, I am expected to show up with a broccoli salad in hand. A salad that will be more missed than me if I was a no show!
On a happier note is your windfall of a free turkey and spuds! Oh the feast that can be had with those two ingreidents and some gravy!
I would happily dine on a turkey samich with you for the sheer pleasure of your company, cuz I is thankful for you my dear.
