ACTA in a Nutshell –

What is ACTA?  ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.

Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”

What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

Oh, here we go, again.

Stumbled across the BBC's, Being Neil Armstrong (2009), and their, The Sky At Night - Apollo 11: A Night To Remember -- both of which I HIGHLY recommend. The latter shows much of the BBC's coverage, which seemed much more interesting than ours.

Neil Armstrong's always fascinated me, as well - mostly because he's such an enigmatic recluse, slightly because of all the conspiracy stuffs surrounding him and the Apollo 11 mission. I'd LOVE to do a slideshow of him to maybe, Spaceboy, by the Pumpkins..Did you know that in 1979, when he jumped off a grain truck on his farm - his wedding ring caught on the wheel and ripped his ring finger off??? And that he had the presence of mind to get it, pack it in ice, and get it reattached?!? THAT'S nerves of steel, baybee.

I know. It's me. I was told I have an, 'astronaut fetish'....Hmm.

You know when Buzz Aldrin hesitates - leg extended - as he stands on the ladder before stepping on the lunar surface? It wasn't for dramatic effect, no - it was because he had to pee. That's right. Neil may have been the first man to walk on the moon, but it's pretty likely that Buzz Aldrin was the first man to pee on the moon..

Some random pictures of Neil Armstrong.
