Nov. 23rd, 2011 08:01 amANYBODY WANT A CAT? I'VE GOT SIX, APPARENTLY.
Assorted shapes and sizes..
*~*~*
Around five this morning, as I'm running up and down the hallowed halls of B Wing - I zoomed past the treatment cart to grab a sip from my hallowed Trek Experience Travel Cup (from the lovely and vivacious
piratesorka) AKA The Grail - on my way to answering another light, and it was...slightly off.
Seriously.
It was way-y-y over on the left side of the cart-top, and the RNP (Restorative Nursing Program) binder was now on the right. Huh. I didn't think much of it, but grumbled to myself that I must be REALLY tired, forgetting things, etc - as it seemed to be happening to me a LOT, lately.
Another pass, about twenty minutes, later - and it was gone. And sitting on the handrail that goes down the length of the wall, for residents to grasp as they go to and fro..and down the hall apiece, there was one of my constant 'companions', in a wheelchair; this particular one was from another wing, just a sweetie, who really likes me (and I, her) and wants to hang out with me...which is nice, but...
So I asked my friend and charge nurse, Patty Anne, if she'd seen Ruthie getting ahold of my cup and possibly drinking from it...and her face got so funny...So I asked her what was up, and she burst out, laughing, saying, "I was just messing with your head!" - my eyes widened - "I've been moving your cup around for the past two days, now!"
"..........."
Made my day, actually. We cracked UP. OMG. She got me good, and yes, I apologized to her for, 'seriously underestimating her'....Heh. Bazinga.
