May. 3rd, 2011 06:10 pmOMG. Guys. You know how things have been tight, financially, around here - as they are for us all; and how employment - especially for a young person with no experience - has been nigh on impossible to obtain..right?
Well, my son got a job. Maybe two or three.
Job A - Haircutting salon. Needs. A mascot. Memorial Day weekend. Under the table.
In a giant DOG SUIT. Wearing a sandwich board.
LMAO.
If you knew my son, you'd know that he is absolutely the dog for the job. Personality-Plus. Wit? To the moon and back. And, Oh, yes. He's got the moves. The woman at the salon was so taken with him and his earnestness, that she's calling another branch of the salon because THEY might need a-guy-in-a-giant-dog-suit the weekend pre-this one.
Job B - As he was walking out of the salon with the manager, a gentleman was walking out with them, at the same time. He just so happened to be the manager of the GNC at the shopping center - and was so impressed with my son that he told him to apply online - and to use him as a reference.
Part-time. Minimum wage, my son lamented. BUT, IT'S A JOB! And he went out and got it himself. I'm so proud of him. ♥
The bonus of all this? Is how proud my son is, of himself. How chuffed. And, deservedly so. He did this on his own, and, by God - DID it. He'd gone - while I slept, unaware - and went to EVERY. SINGLE. STORE. in the shopping center, yesterday - and turned them all in, today.
Out of the blue, eh? Hilarious. And OH. YES. There WILL be photos.
