(no subject)

Wow. Jus-s-s-t woke up, and damn, the sleep was GOOD. Very good. Warm and bottomless, loosely curled in the safe womb of the Bedfort ™. Almost nine hours in a ROW. Huzzah. It was SO damned hard to let go of the stress and relax, so, about eleven am, I got up and shoveled the driveway - still mildly stoned - while avoiding the obvious heavy glower of the Scary!redneck!neighbor, looming in the distance. We only got about four inches, total, but now, the sleety/icy stuff has begun. Glad to be safe and home, tonight.

That was one of the toughest two weeks in my life - I'm talkin' 'can of yams/beans for dinner/out of coffee for four days'-tough..and thankfully, it's over and payday has arrived, and we made it without cashing my coworker's check (my nurse friend came along one day while I was asleep and just stuck a check for two hundred on our door..no comment).

Oddly enough, I'd thought that my Big Sick would affect this check..but somehow I must have muffed up because it was a normal check. Ironically enough, my tax return was also deposited, so I got a bit of a shock when I logged onto my bank...but a GOOD ONE, FOR ONCE. I have to put at LEAST five hundred into savings right off the bat.

The Cure is coming, after all. :) At least, that's the tale we've been told..

kittylugnut, I think I saw this personage lurking outside your apartment, in the courtyard..looking up...What could he want?
