(no subject)

I guess, in this line of work; everyone has to have a first. At least, that is what they told me today. It determines the rest of your career's course as to how you handle it.

Mizz L, I guess you might very well be my first. Honey, you are hanging by the merest of shimmering threads right now, and I do realize that it is selfish of me to wish for you to hold on. My heart just breaks to see you suffer so..to see you so PARED DOWN TO THE MINIMUM; frail as a whisper in your flannel nightgown....but when I come in and hold your hand and talk to you..You SHINE. I wish I had known you before all this, 'cos I just know you KICKED SOME ASS.

I will never forget the first time you laughed out loud at me. My friend.


It seems, the closer you get..the thinner that membrane becomes..letting the light shine brighter...


And you know? I don't really know how much I *want* to 'get over it'. I mean, do I want to become that damned 'hard-boiled', that 'used to it'..even though it is kind of a self-preservation thing?
