To everyone who commented on Ashley's death. I hadn't seen her or Jim in a while, and when I heard this, I was just stunned. I kept hoping that (as they hadn't released her name yet) that they had sold the club -- and that it was 'new' owners or something. Still not a nice thing to wish, whether a total stranger or not, you know? I got my taxes done last night (by my former neighbor) and she was the one who confirmed that it was her. It was just so freakin' weird to see our little neighborhood (right near where my ATM machine is, yet..scaring my daughter) on the news. When my son and I went to do laundry after taxes, the news van was still parked at the police station. Surreal.

I don't know any of the details yet on her service or anything; she was from out of state, so it all might be done there.

Oh, I just want to go to work and do the best job I possibly can. Kindness with a vengance, you know?

I just realized how much of a fucking GHOST TOWN this place will be while you all go to Mardi Gras and LA. Whoa.
