At this point (for me), it is not about seeing Mr. HotASSAstinSquee; it is about some down time with Miss Thing. GrrlyGrrl Time. Being both Mom and Dad has put that in short supply in my life lately. (Oh, and hopefully seeing The Memphis Belle..and wandering the Smithsonian..)

The balloon has popped, and fatigue is setting in. Just ONE more day of hurdle-jumping before Friday. So windy today, I spent most of it looking like Cousin Freakin' It.

I really hope that the hot water heater is not broken. How can I go away, leaving my daughter with no hot water? Man.

ETA: Oh, yeah; the fucker's broken. When I crawled into the back of the closet with a flashlight to mess with the reset button? I got a nasty-assed electric shock, that threw me backwards. Not messin' with it anymore, just preparing lots of pots full of water to boil for the morning.
