..this end of the storm. Rain is being thrown against the windows in a manic clatter; the wind, gusting angrily--makes the windchime on the porch work frantic overtime, complaining..I can hear bits and pieces of trees and such clacking and rattling on the roof. Our electric keeps dimming and surging, so I will probably not be on here too long.
The BIG news is: So far, our Mizz Luna is okay, as okay as you can call it, anyway; as her spirits seem high. She is just totally without power. Which means without lights, without air conditioning, and most of all--without a computer. I hate that she is alone. So, let's keep the lines of communication open--ok, Elfy? You may get a call from her. And let's all send a helping of our patented 'love and light' her way.
Oh, and something really cool? Got an envelope from my son's school...first reaction? "Uh, oh..what did you do?" Well, it seems he has qualified (testing above the 97th percentile in both math and verbal skills) to participate in the Johns Hopkins University CTY Talent Search 2004--for the Center for Talented Youth. Which means he is eligible to be 'tested for, assessed and recognized' for 'the academic abilities of highly able students'...boiling down, basically, to be able to take the SATS early, and becoming eligible for loads of services and opportunities..and a certificate stating that he participated..Great for that all-important college application. This can also help him become eligible for various awards and scholarships. I am so proud of my little wildman.
Oh, yeah. The movie my little genius selected for this evening? "Zoolander". Uh, no further comment.
