Yeah, I know. Late to the party, as usual. But waking up to be told that Johnny Cash passed away was just. Well. Not too surprising, considering June passed away in May..didn't think he would wait too long to join her; she saved him so many times over the years, I think.
No matter what kind of music you listen to--and I don't care for country at all--you had to respect the man. The road traveled was not easy, and he tried to speak for the common man, for the downtrodden.
Haven't talked to my brother yet; that was one of our jokes..he always called me, 'Johnny' because all I pretty much wear is black, too. Smartass.
Damn. RIP, 'Man In Black'.
