So. If all goes according to plan, this trip IS happening.
So much left to do, and so little time!
The BIG worries are: a) my insane cat-lady sister, who is always a minimum of three hours late is my ONLY way to the airport on the 27th, and this terrifies me; as does her driving, as she's a drinker who has horrible road-rage, so pray for us, if you're the praying sort - - I tried Uber, but I don't have a smartphone, and there is no download for Linux, b) the weather - - weather dot com keeps going back and forth from, 'cloudy' to, 'snow/freezing rain' - 'nuff said, there.
So, as it stands, I still must go BACK all the way to Philly - God bless my amazing brother - NEXT Friday to PICK UP my passport, as I do not trust the mail to get it to me on time. We went yesterday and damn, he's amazing - - both, with the driving skills AND making me laugh so so hard, "You know, I could really go for a total eclipse, right now." (Quote of the Day)
So - this week, I must, a) go to Thanksgiving/Bon Voyage party at FOUR IN THE AFTERNOON AT MY MOTHER'S, b) work Thurs. night, c) go BACK to Philly to get passport on Friday morning, d) work Friday night, lol - - and leave on Sunday....
Does anyone know - a) if one can use a bank/debit card in the UK? I have to call the bank, in order to give myself time to do whatever I need to do..foreign exchange, I really don't know..have no idea, b) can I put a peacoat in the overhead? I want to take the Curejacket in my carry-on, and A says I will NEED the peacoat, as well..
WORK IS BEING SO NICE ABOUT IT, IT'S SURREAL. They are actually EXCITED for me, wtf - - and there was no problem whatsoever, getting the time off. What. I was so relieved, I cried on the phone.
