Alrighty. Phase One, in motion.

Mein Dieter has just been towed away - on his journey to the garage, and - hopefully - to being fixed, inspected, and back on the road. Baby steps, and God knows what this'll cost us. I was told, by the tow guy that, "It's an epidemic, with these GTIs, lately; they're all going, at once."

The tow guy is wonderful - named, John - and comes immediately whenever we have to call, and even offered to bill the garage, if I didn't have any cash at hand. The reason?

"You know, half the kids around, today, aren't worth a damn. But, you got a nice one, there. A good one. Nice manners, that boy."

ETA: He just came home with an enormous psychedelic Sheldon Cooper poster for me! Made me cover my eyes, and then - BAZINGA. LOL + infinity! Just the something to cover a bad patch on the hallway wall. ♥ + INFINITY for this kid. JUST as we were about to sit down and watch the Big Leonard Nimoy episode, too - how fitting..

What a great thing for a proud mom to hear. And so true.

It was, it really was. And, you know, it IS true. And seems to be such a novelty that it's opening doors for him. Such times, we live in. Thanks, dear heart.

You do realize that an awesome kid is a direct reflection the parent, right? Whether you think it's genetic or environment, it is still the parent.

Yeah, so they say..heh. Thanks. And you'd do well to remember that, as well, missy! And yeah, I was reading your last post - the mixed message thing can be soSO damned frustrating. Some of the things my late husband (his family, also, sheesh) were trying to put into those kids' heads...Just unreal sets of, Repug 'values', there..I wish I played the effin' lottery - that little girl of yours would own her own instrument AND go to ballet school. The arts are so important; they make life worth living, imo.

Heh, the thing is, I believe you would. Part of why you rock. And, re: arts? Yes! A million times yes. Compared to what kids as young as C are up to now, I would say that a healthy obsession with classical and performing arts is a thing to encourage! If I can figure out how to fund it, she goes, with or without his "permission".
