It IS sad. FB and Twitter can't replace blog sites like LJ. They are fundamentally different, but they're where everyone has flocked to. I think particularly the young people (who did populate a lot of LJ, lets admit it) have gone away because the short sweet posts and pic opportunities are attractive to them. I keep hoping FB will step over the line with it's constant changes and scare everyone away for good. Prolly won't happy though. :(
