The Good: Lots and lots of sleep. From 6 am. to 1 pm. - then, to nearly 4 pm. Yes, I sleep in stuttering portions, as a rule, but a lovely dream featuring a certain personage (just sitting and talking amongst the dragonflies, in the buzzing summer heat; down by this slow-moving, yet really HIGH river that should have looked dangerous, but didn't - we were just watching it rise and rise; it was muddy and swirly, but we weren't scared..with his dockers rolled up to his knees and these endearingly white stick legs and bare feet just poking out, wiggling toes) helped to hold me down in slumber. Probably brought about by the Lo Mein picnic that I had with DJ at the park, last evening...and the long-awaited return of my pillows.

Also Good: SCABIE-FREE! And I can't even believe I have to type such a thing. I hope to God they get the outbreak contained at work, this time.

The Bad: I have to work tonight, and TOTALLY wasted a good writing night, last night. But, hey. Mon Chuck was off somewhere, I guess, and busy - and sometimes you just gotta inhale and mah jong while the cat's away.

The Creepy: While I was deep in slumber (probably snoring and/or drooling), a warm, strong hand caressed from my non-existant waist to my hip..I burst awake, only to find it was my ex, picking DJ up to go test for his driver's permit, tomorrow..

Also Good: No, I didn't kill him.

The Highly Anticipated: FINALLY burned off, Venus In Overdrive, to take to work tonight. Can't wait. The title STILL makes me think of Severin, though ;)

More Good: Was able to download a TON of Gershwin for DJ, and some Ravi Shankar. I know, I know..what a combo..but that's mah boy. ♥

More Bad: There seems to be a severe shortage of Colbert!Pr0n, lately.

More Good: Went 'down the hill' and got ten gallons of Kero, at still under fifty bucks. Gonna get more..and more..and add it up..and up...while the weather's still hot and the price is, well, SORT OF reasonable. It's gonna be a tough winter, according to the Farmer's Almanac, and I really feel we need to be ready for it. We've gone HOW many winters without heat, now? I've lost count. We po' folks iz tough ppl, yis.

More Bad/Creepy: Considering purchasing a firearm, and taking a course; I'm already a sharp shot - but only with a scope. Me! Can you believe it?

Hehehhee..yes, ma'am. Not sure how many songs I can get thru in a mere (less than) half hour lunch, but I will give it a go. The only problem is if someone goes to lunch WITH me..then, I always feel rude/obligated to make smalltalk. :(

And, yes. That was the point, apparently - I didn't actually see it, but that is Stephen making pizza 'sexy'..

I have wanted to do this for AGES. Just be able to whip a gun out, twirl it and - WHAM! - hit the target. This urge was spurred at one of boyfriend's WV family gatherings, where all the guys were doing target practice and the li'l ladies were sitting back and cheering them on. I asked if I could try out the hunting rifle and they were SHOCKED! Even more so when I knocked 3 of the 10 beer cans off the line (not amazing, but hey, it was my first time). You mean . . . girls can AIM?? SHOCKER!!! *rolls eyes*

It's gonna be a tough winter

AGGH. When you guys up north get lots of snow, that means lots of RAIN down here! Whenever I drive up to see my mom, I'll actually see the rain turn into snow right near the top of Virginia . . it's weird. I MISS SNOW!!
