This morning, the ravening hunger for normality was sated by surprising the kids with fresh-baked cinnamon rolls and a steaming pot of fresh expresso roast for breakfast.

If only it were always that easy.

Huzzah for the simple things.

Huzzah for the simple things indeed. I was in need of a vegetarian meal yesterday so I fixed up one of those THAI noodle dishes that comes in a box. I added more veggies, more pad thai sauce and extra chopped peanuts and it was soooooooo yummy.

So yummy that I ate it for breakfast this morning. Ahh, yes, the simple things. Leftovers, thems good eats.

Hee, hee, yer cute. You know, I have never had Thai food in my life...isn't it REALLYREALLYREALLY hot?

Oh it can be, it certainly can be hot. But it can also be mild but spicy..as in very highly flavored. Its wonderful! I can't believe you have never experienced Thai.. Thai food is for food like the Cure is for rock.

So.......you're saying Thai food is endlessly multi-faceted, totally like nothing else on earth, steeped in emotion...and thankfully, life-giving, renewing and ever-after to be relied upon? Both exciting/adrenalizing and yet, comfortable as an old sweater? The best thing on earth???

Mebbe I will try some. :)
