Well, there's not much sense in withholding this any longer, and judging from the e-mails of the last couple of days, it's not exactly a state secret - Roger O'Donnell, Perry Bamonte and Daryl Bamonte are no longer with The Cure.

To each of you, our sincerest thanks for everything you contributed to The Cure and to the fans over these many years. We will miss you, and we wish you the best of luck with whatever you choose to do next.

So what does this mean for The Cure? It looks like the band will continue, apparently as a 3 piece, and the festival tour will go on as planned. I'm sure there will be a much more definitive and informative announcement in the near future. >>>>>

According to Roger's website (the entry containing this info, I could not see -- Gaya transcribed it to me).....the rumours of last weekend were apparently true. And...if what is hinted at is correct? HE FOUND OUT VIA THE FUCKIN' INTERNET.

Oh, Roger....and Perry. Thank you both SO much for always being so damned sweet and nice to me...when, quite frankly, you didn't really have to be. You guys are class acts, all the way -- and ALWAYS polite, always kind -- always HUMAN. Sincerely. The Cure will be hard-pressed to find better 'public ambassadors' to the fans.

And Perry? I am most especially sorry..your dream finally came true...So sad that you've been treated so fuckin' shabbily.

Ohhhhhhhh, so tired and drawn out...exhausted physically and emotionally. Did not get to sleep until after *2 in the afternoon*; just rolled around, upset about this Curething. Long two nights ahead. Alone on the floor, as usual.

Speaking of Alone, that is SO how I feel with this CureNews, too. I know it makes no sense, but, that is the only way to explain it. Now, its like I am this little tiny island all far away and shit with no hope; like all I have now to look forward to is an ever-fading life of drudgery. Sleepwalking all the way to death. Meh. Words fail.

Guess I kind of need to try to get a life, now. With them, I didn't have to worry about all that....'cos I had, like, magic.

Was dreaming some stupid shit about Paul Banks -- I hope to God I wasn't talking to him again, 'cos my mother came over while I was asleep, apparently -- but I forget what it was.

It was weird, last night, I was talking about STILL wanting to go to the Chicago show, and my co-worker was saying how I 'know all these bands/people that 'no one' ever heard of, who ARE these people?', etc, etc..and I was laughing and glanced over at the one breakroom table, and THERE just happened to be the April, 'SPIN' magazine with THEM on the cover....heh. Sublime timing. Yes, I squeed in public. At WORK, yet -- where I am known as well, kinda having 'no sense of humor', being, 'intense and professional', har..HOW embarrassing. Really interesting article, though. Yes, I nicked it. I mean, it was for public consumption, anyway, right?
