For [livejournal.com profile] hierokeryx, found on Tumblr:

“Eventually, Page’s ‘aura’ so rankled Bowie he began to seriously lose his cool. ‘I’d like you to leave,’ he snapped. Jimmy simply sat there smiling, still saying nothing. Pointing to an open window in the room, Bowie dissed through gritted teeth: ‘Why don’t you leave by the window?’ Again, Page merely sat there smiling, saying nothing, staring right at Bowie as though speaking to him telepathically. Eventually, Jimmy got up and strode out, slamming the door behind him, leaving Bowie quaking in his boots. Shortly after, claims Zanetta, Bowie insisted the house on 20th street be exorcised ‘becuase of the belief it had become overrun with satanic demons whom Crowley’s disciples had summoned straight from hell…”

personally I don't think it was ~too many drugs~ that people did back in those days, it was ~the wrong combinations of drugs~. see also: sid and marty krofft's Saturday morning children's tee vee programs ['lidsville' and 'the bugaloos'], popular décor color combinations of the time [puke green and diarrhea yellow...great, let's run with it], and ~soft~ rock music [starland vocal band, terry jacks, gilbert o'sullivan].

Oh, where to begin, hehehehehhehe. The Krofft stuff. OMG. Even as a wee 'un, I knew something was up with that shit. It's only redeeming feature was Jack Wild - but GAWD, I remember, 'The Bugaloos', too - BLAST FROM THE PAST - I liked the dark-haired one, iirc.

And, thank God the Sex Pistols came along and saved me from this:

And. OMG. This stuff.

But, this:
